Online Dating – My Findings
Okay so, I’m going to try to share with you exciting people what I’ve learned from Online Dating and maybe you’ll find it entertaining and maybe even a little helpful.
My humble beginnings..sort of
For a little context, I’ve been dating for about a year and a half with short breaks in between. I was 30 and had never dated before due to naturally falling into relationships. I was curious about the whole thing so figured I’d give it a go, experience different women, meet new people and tick some adventures off the bucket list.
You know that feeling when you’re waiting for a bus and then three of the buses you need come at the same time? You do? Great! Dating is NOTHING like that.
Dating is like building a Castle of Cards with another person, it requires a lot of effort, time, patience and sometimes skill, and it helps if both builders work together to make it work. I’ll be using this “Castle of Cards” analogy a lot so hope you like it as much as I do.
Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it
Now if the thought of meeting someone that you’ve only spoken to through a 6 by 3 inch screen makes you cringe then rest assured you are not alone. Most people, particularly women prefer the idea of naturally bumping into the person of their dreams. For those of us that work 9-5 and pretty much see the same people all the time, we take a more proactive approach.
Dating is a fun roller coaster but it can also be an incredibly tiring and frustrating ride, it is an experience that I believe can strenghen your sense of self value as well as clarity in what you want from another person. Assuming you survive the ordeal.
